Domain Trust With Same Netbios Name

Can you have 2 active directory domains with the same netbios domain name trust each other.

Domain trust with same netbios name. I am unable to establish a trust between the two domains. I am 99 sure that the answer is no but the client thinks yes thanks for any help alistair. Domain 2 and domain 3 never need to trust one another. Cannot add conditional forwarder in active directory.

Forest and domain functional level in both domains is windows server 2003. In order to migrate using admtv3 i have to create a trust between the two domains. I can t use rendom to rename becuase i already have exchange installed and i don t want to rename the domain anyway because my company strictly wants abc as the netbios name. That will be a problem as its pretty common knowledge if you plan to use admt there will need to be a trust and afaik you can t do that if the netbios name is the same.
