Domain Trust Relationship Keeps Breaking
Trust relationship between this workstation and primary domain failed.
Domain trust relationship keeps breaking. I m currently experiencing some troubles with the trust relationship between the workstations and the domain computer. I just don t want to drive 45 min to the location to fix the issue. Few users encouraged problem when logging to the domain including error. Doing so reestablishes the broken trust relationship.
I have had a few incidents where the trust relationship was broken from a clients pc to the domain. The trust relationship keeps breaking whenever a user changes password. The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed. A trust relationship may fail if the computer tries to authenticate on a domain with an invalid password.
My question is there any way to get the trust back remotely from the domain server. Also when the system state was restored from an image backup virtual machine snapshot or when performing computer cloning without running the sysprep. This issue occurs on client and server operating system from windows xp to windows 10 and from windows server 2003 to windows server 2016. So far i ve just removed and readded the workstation to the domain but that is quite a nuisance to do.
Typically this occurs after reinstalling windows. Do you want to find a solution to fix broken trust relationship within a domain. Chances are an active directory joined computer that s no longer be trusted on a domain is because the password the local computer has does not match the password stored in active directory. This approach works really well for workstations but it can do more harm than good if you try it on a member server.
